Connecticut’s Choice for Commercial TPO Roofs

One of the fastest-growing single-ply commercial roofing systems on the market today, TPO roofs deliver the pliability benefits of a rubber roof but with the advantage of hot air-weldability. TPO membrane roofing is flexible, cost-effective and comes in a variety of thicknesses. Generally white and highly reflective, TPO is favored when a roofing system’s ability to offset UV heat and to lower cooling costs is a factor. Contact us to discuss TPO options for a building you own or manage.

What is a Commercial TPO Roof?

Highly reflective, environmentally friendly and resistant to fungal growth, TPO deliver durable rubber-roof attributes with added energy efficiency and flexibility benefits.

TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin)

TPO is the middle-child of membrane roofing systems. Not as established as EPDM, nor as new as PVC – TPO delivers a host of desirable rubber-roof qualities along with some very unique sustainability and installation traits which make it a perfect choice for certain commercial flat or low-slope roofing situations.

Produced through a process which binds ethylene (an organic gaseous substance) and propylene (a byproduct of petroleum refining) without the use of chlorine, which makes TPO more environmentally safe. What’s more, it’s completely recyclable and delivers high solar reflection properties; TPO is a top pick for sustainability and energy efficiency.

One of the fastest growing commercial single-ply roofing systems on the market, TPO is available in 10, 12 or 20 feet wide sheets and thicknesses between 45 to 80 mils. TPO roofing systems are made up of a single layer of synthetics and reinforcing scrim that can be used to cover flat roofs and low-slope roofs.

TPO Commercial Roof Maintenance & Repair

TPO roof on commercial building

In good condition, a TPO roof will reflect UV rays and resist chemical and heat damage. However TPO’s integrity can be impacted over time by exposure and structural stress which degrades the surface, and contributes to thinning and shrinkage. While no commercial roof lasts forever, proper maintenance can greatly extend the life of your TPO roof.

In the event that specific issues need to be addressed – leaking, ponding, seam separation or protrusion flashing failure – our skilled TPO installation team can address issues before they become major concerns or catastrophic failures.

We repair or restore Carlisle TPO, Firestone TPO, Johns Manville TPO, GAF TPO,  as well as other major manufacturers.

Norman Properties

As a property manager, I have been doing business with Danny Young, owner of Quality Roofing, for over 25 years. We have always found them responsive, reliable, and reasonable in their costs. The work performed, including the complete “rip and replace” of the roof they just completed on a commercial property we manage, is excellent. We look forward to a continued relationship with Dan and Quality Roofing.
